We're inviting you to a unique experience – a day in the life at our esteemed institution. Whether you're an aspiring actor or someone passionate about the dramatic arts, this is your chance to dive into the world of acting, camera work, movement practices, and devising. In the upcoming weeks, we'll be offering sneak peeks and previews of the sessions you'll be participating in. Be prepared for a day filled with creativity and learning.


Location and Logistics

Your home for the day will be "The Monkey House," situated in the heart of Islington, North London. This conveniently located venue is just ten minutes from Central London by tube and less than a ten-minute walk from Finsbury Park underground station, served by the Victoria and Piccadilly tube lines.


What to Expect

During your visit, you'll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in sessions led by our degree-level actors in training. Learn from industry-leading practitioners actively engaged in our accredited courses. Explore our venue and facilities, engage with current students, and find out firsthand from our alumni about life at Fourth Monkey.

Expect to leave with a taste of practical, inclusive, and contemporary training AND valuable advice and guidance on getting into drama school.


Session Preview:

Motion Capture with Gareth Taylor

In this one-hour workshop, you'll step into the world of motion capture, a vital aspect of the rapidly growing video game and virtual reality industries. Learn how games are brought to life and create your digital character.


Gareth is an innovative and experienced director, movement director, performer, and teacher with an impressive track record spanning two decades. He's worked in film and video games, accumulating over 30 credits with renowned companies such as EA, Warner Bros, Sony, Supermassive, and Disney. His expertise extends to performance direction, 1st AD roles, and movement specialization. Gareth is a Creative Associate for the multi award-winning theatre company curious directive and a Movement Associate for The Mocap Vaults.
