The Merchant of Venice
Set amongst the rowdy and boisterous Venetian party scene, romance, rivalry and revenge takes hold of all. When Bassanio risks everything to win the captivating Portia, his loyal friend Antonio makes a dangerous deal with the ruthless moneylender Shylock. As fortunes turn and a deadly bond is called in, the courtroom becomes a stage for wit, disguise, and moral reckoning. Jews and Christians go head-to-head, battling for power, influence and each one’s own sense of justice. In the gilded, opulent and opportunistic world of Venice, the eagle-eyed flock looks on, waiting to feast on the remains of the destruction.
