Step into a fresh, offbeat fringe performance from our final year students, blending live performance and short film with a creative edge. Built from scratch with their own ideas, researcha nd collaboration.

These events mix live performance with short films, where the students are to take risks and explore their stage craft. Look out for a sleek, stripped-back tech setup, a bold artistic feel and loads of Monkey energy.

We are looking to develop one (or more!) of them beyond this point, and we need you! Our Experimental Performance audience is invited to feedback and comment on what they see, becoming part of the process of selection. We hope to unearth the next big thing, and we hope you can help us find it!

Hex Appeal by DropKick Productions (Sarah Bauer, Max McDermott, Ben Whitehouse & Viola Zhdaniuk)

Moments before they are burned at the stake in1522, two witches are mysteriously transported to the present day, tearing a hole in time. Their arrival in the 21st century intertwines their fate with two university students, who must navigate friendship, love and the difficult task of fitting in. As past and present collide, they discover that love is the truest form of magic, and the most powerful spell of all.

Under the Spotlight Through the Frame by Frankie D. Moules Who are we? Who are we really? Do we decide? Or do they decide? Who are they? Should we care? But who are you to say? Who are you?

Follow the protagonist as they attempt to answer these questions for themself and take off into the journey of self-discovery!

The Same But Different by Twinsync (Aisha Letamendia Moore & Maia Letamendia Moore) “The Same But Different” explores discovering an individual sense of self as a twin in the creative industry. Written by twins, this piece uses meta-theatricality to connect with the audience in a deeper way - sharing their own experience as twins and highlighting issues that young creatives face.
