Kerrie Mailey – Casting Director

“Year of the Monkey is revolutionary and unique. Never before have I had the opportunity to do as many things within the same year to help my journey to become a professional actor. A great blend of part foundation course and part rep theatre company helped to solidify my love for the art and the need I have to take it further. The added support and tutoring I received only added to this amazing experience.”

Sam Adamson – Year of the Monkey and Two Year Rep Company Alumnus

“An essential year in any actors career. The Year of the Monkey provides intense training that makes you push your own boundaries and invites you to take on the challenge of two rep theatre seasons! Something every actor must try! Not only do you make lifelong friends but the company is very much ensemble and you feel at one with everyone. I’ve learnt so much so far and can’t wait to continue learning!”

“As an actor I can think of no better opportunity and learning curve than the Year of the Monkey. It’s exciting, creative and an amazing challenge. It IS the course to be on.”

James Bryant – Fourth Monkey Alumnus

“Wow what a year! I wanted to write and tell you how grateful I am for giving me the opportunity to work with Fourth Monkey. I have learnt so much throughout the year, it has been a truly wonderful experience. I have developed enormously, not just as a performer but as a person. I have learnt the joys of working in a company and the discipline required to succeed as an individual and as an ensemble. Most of all Fourth Monkey has inspired me to carry on and never give up, because this is what I want to be doing forever. I have now got the confidence to see that through.”

Georgia Kerr – Fourth Monkey Alumnus

“I have had fantastic experiences, from an intense rep season to profound workshops. This fresh and imaginative approach to learning about the industry has really pushed the boundaries for everyone involved.”

Grant Russell – Fourth Monkey Alumnus

“I just want to thank you for creating this beautiful monkey family ensemble, but more than that I really want you to know how much I appreciate you and the amount of work and time you’ve put into this, so that we get the best of it. I will not say goodbye because I don’t see it as the end, but as a new beginning where the monkeys will continue creating and working together.”
